Eric Mayson

Eric Mayson’s music and live performance is a journey from disbelief into knowing and back again. He understands music as a way to move through space. In an aerial shot, Mayson’s wide-ranging style stretches from minimalist electropop to smooth R&B, progressive soul, and straight hip-hop, while visiting grinning pop, rock and roll, and operatic arrangements.

The multi-instrumentalist spent a decade as an in-demand composer and performer in Minneapolis, working for many different theaters and dance companies, as well as some of the twin cities’ top bands and artists, like Lizzo, Atmosphere, Caroline Smith, Aby Wolf, and many more. Earlier this year, he put out his third solo record “Its All Real It’s All Fake.” He moved to Mankato in August to pursue a degree in aviation from MNSU. He is spending his time during the pandemic writing cheesy songs and D&D campaigns for people on the internet.
